I have been amiss in posting for a while. We took a week off to Florida to see my family, and while I was there, I had planned on doing the whole work-while-on-vacation thing… I know, a bad idea! So, as luck would have it, the screen on my MacBook Pro went poof! Apple’s support was great, but I didn’t get the computer fixed and back in my hands until I was back home. So — while I didn’t get anything done while on vacation, it ensured we had a great time!
Now that we’re back in the swing of things, I wanted to show a sneak peek of a little guy by the name of Crider! We had a really fun time with his session, and I think the photos are just stellar! You’re all going to love them!

Last week, Neely & Emma came into our studio for a portrait session. We decided on something really unique, fun, and totally cool – a Firelight Urban Session. Both girls were absolutely awesome, and we had a really fun time with their portrait session. I think they turned out really great! One reason I love urban sessions is that they are really relaxed and there’s just so many locations and ideas to use! It is a great combination of candid and fun, which, with kids as cute as these, make for terrific portraits! So, here’s a sneak peek!

Gosh, sometimes time really really sneaks up on me! I can’t believe that little Trent is already a year old! It is alot of fun to watch the kids that come to our studio grow up. Every time they come back in, there’s something new about them, some little hint of a new achievement like sitting up all by themselves, crawling, walking… or even talking! But there’s also some things that don’t change, like their personalities. Trent is always so much fun, and loves to smile and have fun.
Only this time… it was having fun while absolutely demolishing a cake! Yummy!
Happy Birthday, Trent! We hope to see you again soon!!!

Well, we sure have a treat for you today! Our good friends Michael & Tiffany brought in their new, tiny, little treasure by the name of Elijah Bradley. Eli was just 5-days old, and I have just finished editing his newborn portrait session. We just love to do portrait sessions with newborns, they just have that little tender and curled look to them that is so peaceful and perfect! Even more rewarding is that little Eli’s parents are good friends — which just makes it all that more special that they brought him into the studio!
We did a few natural light portraits in the front of the studio, then moved to the back for the rest. We think the photos are just beautiful, so why not post a little sneak peek, don’t you think?

Wedding season is alot of fun! We’re right in the middle of it all, and I wanted to take a moment and show everyone some photos of a really fun wedding we covered at the lake. Chip and Ashley were a ton of fun, light-hearted the whole day, and were just terrific to be around. They had a band come in and play live music for the reception, and it really got everyone up and dancing. I took over 3,000 shots of this wedding, so we’ve been in the middle of getting everything finished up and ready to show to Chip & Ashley. I know they are dying to see them all!
However, in the meantime, here’s a few of my favorite photos! So, to Chip & Ashley, congrats on an awesome wedding!!! We had lots of fun, and your photos will be up online really soon!

There is something perfect about little newborns. We absolutely love it when new mommies & daddies bring in their little treasures into our studio for a session. Little Anna Claire is just beautiful, and was perfect for us. She slept right through the session and we had a great time!
I am nearly done with all the photos, but I wanted to post up a blog entry so mom & dad (and everyone else!) could see her portraits. Isn’t she a perfect little thing?

One of the really cool perks of wedding photography is that I occasionally get to photograph for friends. Such was the case just a couple weeks ago, as Ben & Liz commissioned us to be a part of their wedding. What an honor!
The wedding took place in Town and Country, Missouri, which is just a skip away from St. Louis. Liz had picked a simply GORGEOUS location for their reception. We had a whole lot of fun with Ben, Liz, and their whole wedding party. It was really a great tiime. I wanted to share a few of their portraits with all of you, and I hope you enjoy them! (Edit: For some reason, they uploaded in reverse order… sorry!)
To Ben and Liz, we wish our blessings upon your new marriage! May God bless you and your marriage, and we very much look forward to you all being in our ‘neck of the woods’ really soon!
