This Saturday, we had the pleasure of experiencing just a bit of magic. I’ve known Wendy for years now, and she has always been such a kind and thoughtful person. When she asked us to shoot her wedding, what could I say but yes? The whole day was out of a story book. The whole wedding was on the Davis family farm — spacious land, huge pond, corn rows, and all. Wendy decided on a natural decor, with hand made benches of old barn wood, burlap table covers, and elegance in everything.
I loved watching Brandon and Wendy together. They are such a perfect couple, totally in love. Thanks for letting me tag along just a bit — your day really was just perfect.

Wedding season is alot of fun! We’re right in the middle of it all, and I wanted to take a moment and show everyone some photos of a really fun wedding we covered at the lake. Chip and Ashley were a ton of fun, light-hearted the whole day, and were just terrific to be around. They had a band come in and play live music for the reception, and it really got everyone up and dancing. I took over 3,000 shots of this wedding, so we’ve been in the middle of getting everything finished up and ready to show to Chip & Ashley. I know they are dying to see them all!

One of the really cool perks of wedding photography is that I occasionally get to photograph for friends. Such was the case just a couple weeks ago, as Ben & Liz commissioned us to be a part of their wedding. What an honor!
The wedding took place in Town and Country, Missouri, which is just a skip away from St. Louis. Liz had picked a simply GORGEOUS location for their reception. We had a whole lot of fun with Ben, Liz, and their whole wedding party. It was really a great tiime. I wanted to share a few of their portraits with all of you, and I hope you enjoy them! Few things are more fun than getting to do an engagement session (and a wedding, too!) with friends! When Mel & Heath asked us if we would do their wedding, what else could we say but OF COURSE! They are a really great couple, and guess what? So are their photos, too! I wanted to share just a few photos from their engagement session. We had a great time and lots of fun out at the lake and also in the quad area of MSU. They are really photogenic, and we’re so looking forward to their wedding!
Mel & Heath are using some of the images from their engagement portrait session to place in their wedding guest sign-in album. This is a new offering for us, and its really, really cool. Basically, we have taken our 10″ x 10″ Shine book and left an open page on each spread with room for signatures, blessings, and notes from attendees. It has become really popular as the guest sign-in album.

Well, wedding season is for sure under way! We love it, too. Every wedding is different, and its alot of fun to me to be able to capture the moments and emotions on such a day.
