I absolutely had a blast with Morgan’s senior session. Everything about it turned out awesome, and the fact that she was super fun was just icing on the cake. Morgan did a great job with her outfit
This Saturday, we had the pleasure of experiencing just a bit of magic. I’ve known Wendy for years now, and she has always been such a kind and thoughtful person. When she asked us to shoot her wedding, what could I say but yes? The whole day was out of a story book. The whole wedding was on the Davis family farm — spacious land, huge pond, corn rows, and all. Wendy decided on a natural decor, with hand made benches of old barn wood, burlap table covers, and elegance in everything.
I loved watching Brandon and Wendy together. They are such a perfect couple, totally in love. Thanks for letting me tag along just a bit — your day really was just perfect.
You just won’t believe how wonderful the whole day was, so here’s a little highlight video I made to prove it. Enjoy!
Lately I’ve really been spending time on honing my window light shooting. In some ways it is a whole new and different way to take portraits, and it has really been a fun challenge. But I just love the clean, soft look it provides. Here are a few window light shots of little Riley. She was easy to get posed, and she decided to touch off the first portrait with just a hint of a smile.
I thought I’d introduce you to another of our Class of 2011 Firelight Spokesmodels. This is Marci, and she is a really cool cat and was lots of fun to shoot. We did some of her mini-session portraits in a nice little garden, then went downtown for some really cool shots. I was super happy with the way they all turned out, so I thought I’d share them with you guys! Let me know what you think!
Today is senior BLITZ day! I have been meaning to get all these sneak peeks from our senior sessions up for you guys. Here is miss Hailey. We was super fun! When we went out to a small river (it is called a river, anyhow) little did we know the adventure we’d have. Hailey was brave enough to tight-rope walk out to a branch over the river. (Image 8) I was proud of her, and we got a couple awesome shots there… the warm tone from the sun is just awesome.
Oh… and right in the middle of shooting, my flash and softbox goes *crash!* right into the water. I pulled it out, soaking wet, full of water, but miraculously it still worked! I got it dried out and finished some awesome portraits. I hope you enjoy these! I’ll be posting Lauren’s session here in just a few hours.
