We had a really fun session today, and I just wanted to share it with you all.  Now that the march flowers are in bloom (can you believe that?!?!?) we had our very first spring session with Jack, Jaye, and Crider.  We went to a field out at LBL, and it was just filled with yellow march flowers everywhere.  We had a blast.

Jack is really fun, too.  He’s that age where you can really start talking with him and there’s no telling what he’ll say.  I love kids, they are usually alot more talkative than adults, and maybe I’m just strange, but alot of times I like what they have to say more than us old people!    Anyhow, Jack was telling me all about how to make muffins, he seems to be an expert.  I then told him that I like to eat Lizard Muffins and Frog Muffins.  He laughed (which made for some wonderful portraits) — but I think he’s convinced I’m crazy.   Apparently, he went home and told his grandmother all about how I eat Lizard Muffins.  He’s gonna stick with Blueberry, I should think.

Okay — I’m posting WAY too many here, I know.  But these are a super quick edit (not finished quite yet!) and I just couldn’t settle for less!  Let me know what you think!

Here’s a fun session I am working on finishing up!  This is little Claire, and her mommy & daddy are very good friends of ours.  Claire did a great job in the studio — once she fell asleep, she slept really well and let us get all the shots we wanted.   I was quite proud of her!

I know everyone wants to see her, especially mom & dad, so here’s a little sneak peek!  More to come soon, I promise.

Last week we had Jack in for his 1 year session.  We love doing our 1-year sessions, getting to watch the kiddos grow up at each stage of life in that first year.  They really are always changing.  As proof of that, Laura and I noticed how much Jack is starting to look like his daddy.  He seemed to take after his mom, at least      up until now, but dad is really starting to shine through!

Hmmmm… maybe the same thing will happen with our son, Will?  Who knows… but Jack is giving me some hope for it!

So, a couple weeks ago, I expanded our Firelight product line with our new custom image box.  They are super awesome.  Well, after I designed one for a wedding I did in December, I got a call and was asked if I’d be willing to allow it to be showcased at one of the largest photography conferences in the world, this year located in Las Vegas.  It will be shown as a product sample to thousands of my fellow photographers.

So I said… ummm….  no.

Just kidding, I said OH YEAH!

Well today, it has now been showcased on their website.  I am totally amped to have some of my work noticed on a national showcase, and I just had to share it.  So, thanks for allowing me this shameless plug!

And to Taylor and Nick… THANKS for looking awesome enough for this to happen!  A huge thanks to you two!  Here’s the picture they took of my image box:

I just finished editing this session and I wanted to share it with you guys!  Here is little Caleb, Justin and Shelley’s newest kiddo.  We had a good time, and got some really great portraits!  I’ve been working with natural window light alot more lately for newborn shoots, and I was really excited with how this first one came out.  See what you guys think.

Also, don’t forget that Spring is really around the corner!  The flowers in front of our house are just itching to bloom!  They’ve already grown up quite a bit — so Spring is almost here!  If you’d like to book a Spring session w/ us for some great portraits in bloom, we’d love to do it!  Just remember that we fill up quickly during this time, so book early!
