GUESS WHAT? WE ARE CLOSING OUR DOORS!!!

When we started our photography business in 2006, we had no idea what would happen. Like many new, budding photographers, we didn't know where it would take us. If you told me it would send me all over the country and even to Costa Rica, I'd have never believed you. There have been so many rewarding moments, and I have enjoyed all the opportunities afforded me.

But after six years, life is beginning to take us in a new direction. Our family has grown, and priorities are changing. After a few months of pondering, Laura and I have decided that it is time for us to set sail in a new direction. Life is a whirlwind for us right now. I have reached a point where I simply cannot keep up with two jobs and a family. So, at the end of May, we have decided to close down Firelight Studios for a good while. Many of my friends have asked if we'll ever get back to it again -- my answer is maybe yes, although we don't know when.

Are you going to quit right away?
No. There are still quite a few orders we need to finish up. While we are not going to take any new sessions, we will finish up all our old sessions before we close the doors. If you're one of those clients, feel free to shoot us a note so we can get your order finished up!

I have a gift certificate with Firelight Studios. Will you honor it?
Yes. We have reached an agreement with the following photographers. They have agreed to take our gift certificates and will honor them as if it were their own.

I would like to place an order from a previous session.
We can probably still do this for you. Send us an email, and we'll see what we can do. We do still have all our images backed up.

How long will you stay closed?
Well, it probably isn't permanent. I'd love to get back to studio photography again, but it will likely be at least a few years before life will allow for it.
